Patrick J. Haynes, III, Chairman Mr. Haynes has served as Chairman of HealthPort since its inception. He also is Chairman of Thurston Group, a private merchant bank located in Chicago, which he founded in 1986. In addition to founding the Thurston Group, Mr. Haynes has founded a series of companies primarily in the telecommunications and data processing sector. Among some of Mr. Haynes’ prior entities are American Communication Services, Inc. (increased market capitalization from $500K to $1.2 billion), Invengen which became USIT (increased market capitalization from $500K to $1.8 billion) and the rolling up of Avery, HBS, OAN Services and Billing Concepts into Billing Services Group (increased enterprise value from $1 million to $500 million). Mr. Haynes started his business career at Merrill Lynch and subsequently worked at Lehman Brothers as an investment banker.
