Ready, Set, Go! The Feds' Plans for HealthCare - 5010, ICD-10, HIE and ARRA (#001T5) - It's far from a race, but not since HIPAA has there been so much Federal Government push for change in healthcare.  This session will provide a calendar view of the requirements, incentives, penalties, and what HealthPort is planning to help our clients meet these challenges.  5010 is a new standard for HIPAA transactions, including claims and remittances; there are hundreds of programming changes needed.  ICD-10 represents a lot more than just changing to a new diagnosis code table.  HIE is the future of healthcare information exchange, including the NHIN.  ARRA is the "Stimulus Package" which contains specific details about incentives and penalties for EHR adoption, and new privacy and security rulings.
